Last updated: April 28, 2025
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) is published by Intelligent Editing Ltd. (“we” or “us”) and relates to our House Style Creator service (the “Service”). This Policy describes the ways that the Service collects, uses and discloses personally identifiable information (“PII”) that relates to the individual user of the Service (“you”).
This Policy applies to PII collected:
Through the Service.
When you interact with Freshdesk or other Third-Party Services that we may work with to provide customer support (see “Third-Party Services” below).
In email, text, and other electronic messages between you and the Service.
This Policy does not apply to PII that:
we collect in ways other than through the Service, including on any other website that we or a third party operate; or
any third party may collect, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible via the Service.
By visiting, accessing, submitting content to or otherwise using the Service, you agree to our collection and use of PII as this Policy describes.
This Policy may change from time to time. If we make a material change to this Policy, we will notify you either through the email address you have provided us with, or by placing a prominent notice on the Service website. Your continued use of the Service after any modification means that you acknowledge the change and agree to the practices that we disclose in the Policy.
PII That You Manually Provide Us
The PII that you manually provide us through or in connection with the Service may include:
Information that you enter into forms on the Service. This includes information provided at the time of registering to use the Service. It also includes any PII that you may choose to include in Documents that you submit to the Service. For example, if your Document includes the name of your organization itself, the name of any individual associated with your organization, or any contact information, then we will receive those types of PII.
Information that you provide to us and records and copies of your correspondence (including email addresses), if you contact us.
Your responses to surveys that we might ask you to complete for research purposes.
Search queries that you type into the Service’s search interface.
In these ways, we may ask you for your name, email address and other contact information, and information about how you have used the Service.
PII That We Collect Automatically Through Data Collection Technologies
As you use the Service, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect information about your equipment and browsing actions. These may include:
Details of your visits to the Service, including traffic data, logs, and the resources that you access and use on the Service.
Location data, which we may receive when you use a location-enabled browser.
Information about your computer/device and Internet connection, including your IP address, operating system, and browser type.
We also may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking).
We collect this information to help us understand how people use the Service, how we can improve its speed, how we can make it easier for people to use it and in some cases to advertise the Service or other products that we offer.
How we use Cookies
The technologies we use for automatic data collection may include cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some parts of the Service.
Unless you have adjusted your browser settings to refuse cookies, our system will issue cookies when you visit the Service. Third-Party Services may use cookies in connection with your use of the Service as well.
You may opt out of our use of these tools with you, and you can learn more about how to do so at the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Webchoices website, European Advertising Standards Alliance (EASA)’s Framework and the Network Advertising Initiative’s Consumer Opt Out website.
How We Use Your PII
We use your PII to:
Provide the Service and support for the Service to you.
Provide you with information, products, or services that you request from us.
Let you know about changes to the Service or any products or services we offer or provide though it.
Fulfill any other purpose for which you provide it.
Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts that you enter into with us.
If we use your email address to communicate with you (with the exception of transactional emails regarding your use of the Service), we will provide you with the option to unsubscribe or opt out of future emails.
Retention of PII
The Company will retain PII only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.
How We Disclose PII to Third Parties
We may disclose aggregated, anonymized information about our users without restriction or notification.
We will not sell, rent, license or disclose PII to third parties except:
To work with third-party companies that we use to provide or market the Service or other products that we offer (see “Third-Party Services,” below). These include Klaviyo and Close and may include others in the future.
Where we believe it is necessary to respond to legal claims asserted against us, to comply with legal process (e.g. warrants and subpoenas), to enforce or administer our agreements, to prevent fraud, for risk assessment, for investigation, and to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users or others.
To investigate suspected fraud, harassment or illegal conduct, or suspected violations of our Terms of Use.
To subsidiaries or affiliates that we may have today or in the future.
To a buyer or other successor in the case of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which the transferred assets include PII held by us about our users.
To enforce or apply our Terms of Use or other agreements that we may have with you.
With your consent; and
To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it.
Third-Party Services
We use certain Third-Party Services to operate the Service. These include Microsoft Azure, Close, Cloudflare, FreshDesk, Google, Klaviyo, Paddle, Podio, and Squarespace, and may include more in the future.
Third-Party Services collect, use and share PII pursuant to their own privacy and security policies. Some of them, including Google, may use location information and other PII to serve advertisements to consumers on other websites. By using our Service, you consent to our providing PII with Third-Party Services to be used in accordance with their own privacy and security policies as they exist today and as they may change in the future.
For more information about how Google’s services use PII, see “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.”
You can opt out of having your activity on the Service made available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The add-on prevents the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visits activity.
Security
The security of your PII is important to us and we are committed to using commercially acceptable means to protect it. Once we receive your PII, we enforce strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorized access. When appropriate, robust encryption methods are used, both in transit and storage. We also implement measures and controls to safeguard your PII including, but not limited to, staff training, continuous monitoring and improvement, effective data segregation within our environments, and network access controls.
International Transfer
When you use the Service, your information, including PII, may be transferred to and maintained on computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ than those from your jurisdiction. If you are located outside United Kingdom and provide information to us, we may transfer the information, including PII, to the United Kingdom and process it there. Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer. If a dispute arises regarding the international transfer of data, you agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction over the matter.
Children
To access or use the Service, you must be at least 18 years old and have the requisite power and authority to understand and consent to the practices described in this Policy. No one under age 18 may provide any information to the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you are under 18, do not use or provide any information on this Service.

You may update or edit the PII that we keep about you by logging into your account through our Service website.
You may use the account-deletion feature in your Service account to delete your account with us at any time. You may also submit a Right To Be Forgotten request to us, and we will honor it by deleting your PII from third-party applications and files.
Your Data Protection Rights Under General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain rights under applicable data protection laws (including the UK and EU GDPR) regarding your PII. You can:

If you wish to exercise any of these rights, please contact us.
“Do Not Track” Technology
If you use Do-Not-Track tools to prevent websites and software products from tracking your online behavior across websites, please be aware that we do not change the way the Service works (as described in this Policy) in response to requests not to be tracked. You may, however, be able to disable certain tracking signals used by individual Third-Party Services, which you may do by accessing those services.
